Swainson’s Hawk’s Return

Swainson’s Hawk’s Return

The Swainson’s hawk’s are back from there long migration and can be seen not only in the prairies but also within the city limits of Calgary Alberta. The last few days have been exciting for me as I love to find and photograph raptors! Over the last few days I have photographed short-eared owls in great numbers, coopers hawks, red-tailed hawks, merlin falcons, northern harriers, a.k.a. marsh hawks, nesting kestrels and a peregrine falcon in-flight.
