Description
They don’t look real, the colours of a male wood duck is nothing short of amazing and this wood duck almost looks sculpted it so beautiful.
Spring birds are starting to arrive in numbers from there winter migration here in Calgary, Alberta, including this pair or wood ducks I photographed tonight.
The photos posted here are just a few of the 150+ I took this evening, but the best part is that most of the photos are FULL frame captures, meaning they are not cropped, only re-sized for the web.
Unlike cropped images, full frame, in this case means that this duck covered most of my sensor! I can make LARGE prints of these wood ducks without loosing resolution.
The happy wood duck couple is shown below with the male wood duck splashing the female with water, what does this mean? I have NO idea…
Will post more soon, revamping the site and its images so stayed tuned! ![]()
