Crusty Tail The Coyote – Coyote Winter Scenes

Just about to head home and we saw two coyotes, it was getting dark and the sun was going down but we decided to try and get a little closer. As we approached the coyotes started to yip and call, two turned into three. As we turned the corner and all three spotted Ken Bell and I started shooting!

Crusty Tail The Coyote

So dark in fact that this shot is at 1000 ISO, shutter speed 1/125s handheld at 300mm. Glad we stayed, good fun!
I have seen and photographed this coyote before, A.K.A. Crusty Tail was photographed chasing a fellow coyote that had just killed a goose and can be seen here, scroll down to the last photo.
