Thanks for the comment Bob, much appreciated!
I agree, coyotes should be respected as much as anything else. I love seeing these predators and when you get a chance to see them up close and personal you realize how amazingly smart they are. I could watch them all day and never get bored. In this encounter even the coyote seemed amused on how close we were. He acted relaxed but was sharp as a tack and VERY alert. If I made a move he jumped, or snapped out of his relaxed state in an instant. Awesome beast and have seen him recently so I know he is doing well.
Thanks again for the comments Bob.

I enjoy these coyote photos very much.I have a few of my own but none of them are as close or as good as your photos so I have not posted any to the net as of yet.Coyotes get a bad rap but to me they are every bit as attractive as foxes or wolves and deserve respect too and your photos show you respect them very much.Overall the photos you have on your website are excellent and those in-flight shots of birds are most eye catching. Thanks Mr. McKay for sharing your wonderful photos with the world as it is sites like yours that make the Internet such an enjoyable way to pass the time and learn while doing so.
