Made a quick visit to the bow river weir in Calgary last evening to see how the american white pelicans are doing. They seem to be fine, I photographed about 30 of them flying around the weir looking for fish.
I took a total of 150 photos of these huge birds, in flight they seem to hang in the air. The weir construction project does not seem to bother the pelicans and they could care less about the large excavator working the shore line.
Fun to watch these large pelicans hunt the bow river weir and even more fun to photograph!
