That Coyote Stare., a close encounter with a city predator.

Make no mistake, this is a wild coyote, I came across this guy over a year ago on the foot path in Inglewood here in Calgary. He was a regular there (have other photos of him) but this time we happened to cross paths really close, at first about 10 feet away, had to move back to get him all in. He had no fear of me and even laid down for a scratch and a growl.

After two weeks of crappy, dull, cold weather, the sun finally came out and along with it all the autumn colors. All kinds of birds & beast where out and about this evening, including this coyote running across a deadfall bridge of sticks, logs and other debris. Running across this natural bridge, the coyote leaped gracefully over branches and logs in its path. Awesome light and great autumn colours made for a perfect evening, Sept. 22nd 2010.
