Description
A shot from today’s outing just west of Brooks Alberta. Reports of snowy owls was enough for me to take the drive, we found 8 snowy owls there. Not the best day for photography as it was dark, overcast with light snow, but to watch these snowy owls made my day.

On Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 p.m. I searched for 2 1/2 hours on the dirt roads north and east of Blackie Alberta looking for Snowy Owls. No luck. (This is where I have found them the past 2 winters.) I have only seen one yet in this area this year and it was just one road west of Herronton a couple of weeks ago. I could not relocate this individual on Sunday. I will keep searching…I guess they are all in Brooks!
