Description
I dropped by Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and noticed on the main pond there are 100’s of ducks, I also noticed that something has been eating them! On the ice over the pond are a few explosions of duck feathers! Now it could be coyotes, ravens or magpies eating the ducks, or maybe bald eagles?
The banks of the bow river are stacking up with bald eagles so I hung around for a bit to see what would turn up. Within 30 minutes I saw three bald eagles (two adult eagles and one immature eagle) cruise low over the main pond. I didn’t get anything great photo wise, but is sure was fun!
The eagle on the left sat over the open water right over the ducks heads and watched them for about 10 minutes before moving on. The ducks didn’t mind the eagle sitting there, and the eagle made no move to catch a duck.
