Action In Flight Yellow-headed Black Birds Feeding
This is a large series of photos showing the immature yellow-headed blackbirds photographed in-flight eating what looks like emerging mosquitoes, or maybe some type of mayfly emerger? Whatever it is, these young birds had the know how to pick them off the waters surface! They would zoom in and scoop these insects off the surface of the pond by the mouthful.

This black bird is just about to make the catch!
