Description
I headed down to the Bow river here in Calgary in hopes of photographing the many bald eagles that cruise the open water for ducks this time of year. The ducks are are plentiful in the small patches of open water, 100’s, if not 1000’s can be seen in these patches of open river. Within 5 minutes 3 immature bald eagles flew in low over the ducks, a few photos later and another wave of immature bald eagles showed up and moved down the river.
But, the high point was watching a lone coyote come into the picture heading straight for the geese and ducks over the ice. On the way towards the ducks the coyote kept looking over his shoulder, as did I. Nothing there so he kept pushing on towards the mass of waterfowl.
